How can we verify that Mr. Foster Briant is a true Canada Immigration Lawyer?

Got an email from him requesting me to submit documents for my employment in Canada. How can we locate that this man is truly an official/legal Canada Immigration Lawyer?

Go http://www.gc.ca, look for the contact us link and see if you can find a number to call. When you do, call and ask how you can verifiy if this person is allowed to practice law in Canada. If they cannot give you the information, they might direct somewhere that can.
You can also ask the lawyer for his education information, credentials, licenses, and pretty much everything you feel might be necessary. It’s okay to communicate through email, but ask this person to set up a phone conference with you or something. Remember anyone who’s using a wire transfer service for payment is a scam. A lawyer would offer you a detailed written contract.
lol, I just answered your other question and now saw this. My point about the name being strange is exactly right. Foster is a surname not a first name – so you have two surnames
Send me his Emails if you want and I will check them out,but same story – if this “reputable” lawyer is using a freemail account then you can bet your life it is a scam
Each of the Canadian Provinces has a registry of lawyers, who are allowed to practise law in that jurisdiction.
Ask him this.
WHEN were you admitted to the bar , in Canada ?
What Canadian Province are you licenced to practise law in ?
What Canadian University law school did you graduate from ?
Give me your full mailing address, in Canada, and your office telephone number, including the area code, in Canada.
Give me your Citizenship and Immigration Canada registration number, as a certified Immigration Lawyer.
If he is legitimate, he will not hesitate to provide the details above.
Remember, if he is not physically located in Canada, he is NOT subject to the laws of Canada, so any promises made are not enforceable, by the Government of Canada.

EDIT…… I have just done a Google Canada search for this name and got NOTHING at all. He is very probably NOT a Canadian :Lawyer, as there is NO telephone number for this name, anywhere in Canada, PLUS his name has NEVER been mentioned anywhere on the Internet, EXCEPT for YOUR question here on Yahoo Answers.
